About Google Business Affiliation

To participate in Local Services Ads, all businesses must pass Google’s screening and verification process. The process varies by business category and location and may include background, business registration, insurance, license checks, and minimum review requirements.

Businesses are also required to have an affiliated Google Business Profile. Learn more about the verification process for Google Business Profiles.

How to claim and verify a Google Business Profile linked with your Local Services Ads account

Note: Currently, this policy doesn’t apply to partner affiliate networks participating in the Local Services Ads Partners Program in North America.

Local Services advertisers must have a public and verified Google Business profile to advertise with Local Service Ads. Google will match Local Services Ads to Google Business Profiles to ensure that only authorized users can manage your ads, calls, and messages.

If Google cannot find a verified Business Profile for your business, you'll need to claim and verify your Business Profile if one exists or create a Business Profile. You don’t need to create a new Business Profile if you already have one.

If you aren’t matched to your existing Business Profile or are incorrectly matched to another Business Profile, you can connect with the Support team.

After you’ve verified your Business Profile, you can add or manage how your business information and reviews show up across Google. Sometimes, Google may ask a verified business to verify some information again.
