To make it easier to find a book, you can organize the books in your library.
When you hide a book from your library, it’ll only be shown on your hidden shelf on the web. It won’t appear in the rest of your library or on your devices. If you want to remove them permanently, you can do it through Library on the Google Play web.
Organize your books in groups
Create a shelf- Open the Google Play Books app

- Tap Library

- To name your new shelf, tap the title.
- To save, tap Done

.- Open the Google Play Books app
- Tap Library.
- Tap and hold the book you want to add to a shelf. Select more to add multiple books.
- Tap Add to shelf.
- Tap the desired shelf.
Tip: To add books to a shelf from the shelf directly, tap Add Books.
To hide purchased books:
- On your iPhone or iPad, go to your Library.
- Touch and hold the book you want to hide.
- Tap Hide book.
To unhide purchased books:
- Go to your hidden books.
- On the book you want to unhide, tap Menu
Filter books by genre, author, progress & more
Important: These filters are only available on Play Books app version 5.3 and up.
- Open the Google Play Books app

- Tap the filters that you want to apply.
- Scroll to find the results.
