Delete your Play Games profile and all Play Games data
If you delete your Play Games profile, all of your Play Games information will be deleted from your Google Account, your gamer name will become available to other users, your followers, anyone you follow, and gaming stats associated with your profile will be deleted. Depending on how developers built the games you've downloaded, deleting your Play Games profile may also delete your in-game achievements or progress, experience points and scores on leaderboards. To learn more about managing your in-game achievements or progress, you can contact the game developer.
If you delete your Play Games profile, you may also not be able to access certain services if they require an active Play Games profile, such as Google Play Games on PC.
Important: Your Play Games profile collects your gaming activity. That activity is separate from Play History data. Deleting your Play Games profile or specific data from your Play Games profile will not delete data from your Play History. The reverse is also true.
Here’s how to control both:
Google Play Games data:
-
You can delete data for specific games or permanently delete your entire Play Games profile. You can do this in your Play Games profile settings.
-
If you delete data here, it removes it from your Play Games profile. It doesn’t delete it from your Google Account's Play History.
Play History data:
Important: We are currently making updates to Google Play privacy settings. If the settings described below don't match your current experience, then your account hasn't finished the transition yet. Until then, you can use the current settings available to you to personalize your Google Play Store experience.
-
If you have Play History turned on in your Google Account, and the option to include app usage data is turned on, Play will continue to save information about when you play a game and for how long.
-
You can find or delete your Play History at any time in Personalization in Play.
-
When you delete Play History, Google still retains some data. For example, Play keeps information about the items you’ve purchased and downloaded so you’ll still have access to them.
-
Deleting your Play History doesn’t affect information collected by other settings or features you’ve turned on. For example, if you’ve created a Play Games Profile, it’ll keep information about your app activity to show your game stats.
- Deleting your Play History also doesn’t affect data that has been disconnected from your account which Google retains to provide, understand, improve, and develop our services.
