To read comics easier, you can make speech bubbles bigger and expand your comic to fill the whole screen. Bubble Zoom is available for Marvel and DC collected volumes in English and some popular comics in Japanese.
Important: Bubble Zoom is not available on computer.

Find out if a comic book has Bubble Zoom
- On your iPhone or iPad's browser, go to play.google.com/store/books.
- At the top, search for a comic.
- Tap the comic.
- Scroll down to Additional Information.
- Under "Bubble Zoom," check if it says "Enabled."
Turn Bubble Zoom on or off
If you turn off Bubble Zoom, it will turn it off for all the comics on that device.
- On your iPhone or iPad, open the Google Play Books app

- Open a comic.
- Tap the center of the page.
- At the top, tap Display options

- Turn Bubble Zoom on or off. If there's no option to turn it on or off, Bubble Zoom is not available for that comic book.
Zoom in & move through speech bubbles
You have to be in full-screen mode to move through speech bubbles.
- Move forward: Swipe up, tap the right side of the screen.
- Move backward: Swipe down, tap the left side of the screen.
- Make a text bubble bigger: Double tap a speech bubble.
Expand your comic to fit your screen
You can make sure a comic takes up your whole screen when you hold your device on its side.
Tip: Bubble Zoom doesn't work if you're reading the comic expanded on its side.
- On your iPhone or iPad, open the Google Play Books app
