You can open and play multiple games simultaneously in separate windows. Different games can be active on your screen at the same time. If you use this feature with multiple accounts, you can multi-instance.
Play multiple games
- Open a game: Open the game you want to play.
- Open a new game: Select a different game to play and launch it.
- Play in multiple windows: You can now play different games in separate windows.
- When you open a game, a new game window opens.
- You can open up to 4 game windows. The limit can be smaller on older devices.
- If you’re signed in to Google Play Games on PC with one account, you can only open a different game in a new window.
- If you’re signed in to Google Play Games on PC with multiple accounts, you can play the same game with multiple accounts at once. You can also play multiple games with any account. Learn about multi-instancing on Google Play Games on PC.
Troubleshoot issues with multi-game
If you have problems with game performance:
- Close unnecessary applications in the background.
- If you lower the graphics settings in your games, it may make your games smoother.
- Make sure your computer meets the minimum system requirements.
- Restart Google Play Games on PC from the Windows system tray or restart your computer.
If you have problems with game controls:
- To confirm that the correct window is active and gets input, select it.
- Check the in-game control settings for each window.
- Make sure your controllers or input devices are properly connected.
