Automatic, balance-based purchases

As an alternative to individual purchases of an item, some developers may offer a plan that automatically purchases the item based on your usage. These automatic purchases may help you avoid unwanted interruptions and frequent manual purchases. For example, while you watch a live stream in a social media app, you can send the creator virtual gifts without interruptions to make individual purchases.

If you start an automatic purchase plan, you agree to be automatically charged for the item each time your balance falls below a certain amount that’s indicated at the time of purchase. For example, you may be charged for 200 coins each time your balance falls below 100, or for new game armor each time your character’s current armor breaks. To maintain the minimum balance, you may be charged multiple times per day.

Although you’re not charged when you start an automatic purchase plan, if your balance is below the minimum at the time you start the plan, you may be charged for the item shortly afterwards. You can cancel your plan at any time at Subscriptions on Google Play.

You’ll receive a purchase receipt through email after each charge. Check in the app or with the developer for your current balance. If you cancel your plan, it prevents additional automatic purchases but won’t affect any items already purchased.
