Create a family on Google

When you create a family group, you become the family manager. You can create a family group with up to 6 people. Some activities in Google products will automatically create a family group for you. For example, when you create a child account or set up a Family Library on Google Play, to find out if you have a family group already, go to g.co/yourfamily.

After you create a family group, you can use:

• Purchase approvals: If you're a parent in a family group, you can require family members to get your permission to purchase or download content on Google Play. Purchase approval settings only apply to purchases made through Google Play's billing system.
• The family payment method: If you set one up, your family can make purchases on Google Play with the family payment method.
• Family services: You can use or subscribe to family services like Google One, Google Play Family Library, and YouTube TV family plan. To find the services available to your family, go to g.co/yourfamily.
• Shared storage: You can become a Google One member and share storage with up to 5 family members. Learn how Google One family sharing works.

Create a family group

1. Sign in to your Google Account.
2. Go to g.co/yourfamily.
3. Tap Create a family group Get started.
4. Under “Ready to be a family manager?,” tap Confirm.
5. Enter the names or emails of family members that you want to invite to your Google family group.
6. Tap Send.
