screen defect

I've had this watch for around 9 months, never dropped it, bumped it into anything or took it into the shower with me, but today the screen started to malfunction. I can still swipe it up and down, and can sometimes see the UI underneath all those lines, but resetting the watch doesnt get rid of those lines.

Factory reset takes longer than 15 seconds. When you hold down the buttons, first you'll see a colored G. That's a reboot. Keep holding down the buttons until you see a white G. That's a factory reset. You'll have to set your watch up again, but that shouldn't take long.

When you said that you reset the watch, did you do a factory data reset? If so, then the next step would be to contact Pixel Watch Support (<-- click link). Complete the prompts until you get the option to chat or call.

Since you've had the watch for less than a year, you likely have options under warranty.

I pressed the crown and other button for 15 or so seconds. The problem didnt go away immediately, but today the screen seems to have stopped glitching and I can't seem to replicate the issue.

Again I am left wondering if this is a HW or SW issue? As I am still within the warranty period, if this is an intermittent HW issue then i believe the best course of action is to send it back to Google for repair/exchange. Does anyone know for sure if this is HW or SW related?
