Introducing Google Pixel Watch 3 41mm & 45mm

Announcement
Hello Pixel Watch Community,

Pixel Watch 3(1) is the biggest leap forward for our flagship smartwatch, offering a stunning design combined with even better performance. Now in two sizes, including an all-new 45mm, offering comprehensive tools for fitness and recovery, and on-the-go assistance with our deepest integration with Google and Pixel yet. Plus, a breakthrough innovation with Loss of Pulse Detection(4), that can potentially save lives.

Explore the exciting new updates and be the first to know what's coming.
  • Enjoy a larger, more vibrant, and striking design. The Pixel Watch 3 now comes in 2 different sizes with bigger, brighter new Actua displays.
    • The Pixel Watch(2) 3 41mm size offers 10% more screen and 16% smaller bezels in the same compact size you know and love from Pixel Watch 1 and 2.
    • The  all-new Pixel Watch 3 45mm size(3) offers a whopping 40% more screen and includes a 35% bigger battery.
    • The new Actua Displays are twice as bright as before with a peak brightness of 2,000 nits. And can dim down to just 1 nit in dark environments, like a theater.

  • More help from Google5, at a glance Pixel Watch 3 has  our deepest integration across the Google and Pixel ecosystem.
    • Livestream your Nest camera and doorbell6, control your Pixel camera, record voice notes7 and have them automatically transcribed to your Pixel phone using machine learning, turn your watch into a TV remote control, access Maps offline and so much more.

  • Enhance your fitness routine
    • Fitness isn’t just about going all out on your workouts — it's also about listening to your body when you need to prioritize rest. An all-new Readiness(9) algorithm is more tuned to your body’s state of recovery than ever before. Then, Cardio Load helps you better track your training. It tracks your heart’s exertion and intensity during an activity and throughout the day, and even keeps track of your trends over time to help you know if you’re over- or under-training, maintaining or improving your fitness. With Target Cardio Load you get a daily target based on your recent activity and Daily Readiness that’s designed to guide you to improve your fitness, while balancing recovery.(8)
    • Pixel Watch 3 is a powerful new tool for runners: it helps you plan your runs with an all-new run workout builder, guides you through them with real time guidance, and lets you reflect on your progress every step of the way in a new Run Dashboard in the Fitbit app. It even uses advanced motion tracking and machine learning to analyze your form to help you run more efficiently and improve performance.
    • Fitbit Premium11 users receive Daily Run Recommendations, powered by Google AI, tailored to your goals, preferences and previous runs and will help you hit your Target Load each day.

  • Loss of Pulse Detection: A first-of-its-kind feature on Pixel Watch 3
    • Pixel Watch 3 introduces a first-of-its-kind capability — Loss of Pulse Detection — which detects loss-of-pulse events occurring when the heart suddenly stops beating. It’s a health emergency, where every minute matters. Loss of Pulse Detection can automatically place a call to emergency services and share an automated message with critical context, along with your location.(4) It will be available on Pixel Watch 3 in September in various countries in Europe, and we’ll continue working with regulatory bodies to make the feature available in more countries.

  • Colors and bands to style your watch your way
    • The 41mm comes in the classic Obsidian with Matte Black, Porcelain with Polished Silver and Hazel with Champagne Gold, or you can try a fresh pop of color with the all-new Rose Quartz. The 45mm also comes in Obsidian and Porcelain, and debuts a new matte Hazel Aluminum case with a matching Hazel band.(12)

The watches can be styled with a range of bands in a variety of colors and premium materials, including leather, metal and woven bands for any occasion.(3)

Hi. I have a Pixel 7a. Am about to order the Google 3 watch but am unsure if the regular version will allow me to play downloaded music on a run (away from my phone) or if I need the LTE version to do so...Advice welcome thanks!

When can we estimate os 5 for pixel watch 2?

Sorry but we don't know. Keep monitoring this forum for updates

We don't know when WearOS 5 will be available for the Pixel Watch 2 or even the original Pixel Watch.  If last year is any indicator, the original Pixel Watch received WearOS 4 a short time after the Pixel Watch 2 was released with WearOS 4.  I'm hoping in the next month or two, but we'll have to wait and see.

I have been able to find out if the new Pixel Watch 3 can do something that my current Garmin can do. Garmin has dozens of exercises in the app and I can build a workout in the app, creating circuits or sets and tracking exercises by reps, time, calories, etc. Then I just run the workout on my watch and it directs me and tracks the workout with minimal adjustments at the end. Would I also be able to do this with the Pixel Watch 3?

Thanks for the response. As cool as the watch seems, this is such a basic function that other watches have done well for years that I'm pretty sure I'll end up passing for now. Very typical nowadays to add so many great and new functions and forget the basic things that people may want. I may look into other apps to see.

Sounds good, good luck 👍

Hi,

Will there come an Update on Tuesday the 10th of September to Fix the Battery Issue on Pixelwatch 3 45mm LTE?

Got mine Yesterday, but the Battery is Completly Drained after 15 Hours, without Activity and without Always On Display.

There seems to be a Problem, but then it fixed on release Day it should be Fine.

Greeting
Frank

Does anyone else see a bad pixel or green light, green pixel, when in a Google app menu? PW 3 (45), open recent apps, tilt the watch and look upper third (for me) for a green flashing pixel.
Works on Wallet and other Google menus (presumably ones that don't use the whole screen.

This seems to be a hardware issue, hopefully you hear back from support soon.

What an awesome watch.
One question, how to make the best use of it.
Is there other good software to install on this tiny device?

You'd need to search over on xda forums to see if they have other options. FYI you will have no warranty or support if something goes wrong.
