assistant wont play my YouTube music likes

i have been using assitant on my watch to start my youtube music likes on my phone when i drive to work. i would always say "shuffle my like" and asstiant would play my likes on my phone just fine. for what ever reason the past few days when i say the command assistant responds saying "shuffling your youtube music playlist called your likes" or something like that then nothing happens and when i look at my watch it says "there is a problem connecting to assistant right now" can i get some help troubleshooting?

Voice command on Google Assistant can be tricky and I also found inconsistencies at times. I suggest trying different phrase and see if they work. If you get a reply that there's a problem connecting to assistant, that means there's either connection issue on your watch, or from server side.

Does the issue happen if you say the command directly to your phone?

You can also try asking the question in the Assistant Help forum

stuff like "play muisic", "play my likes", "shuffle my likes" all end with assistant responding and saying ok i will do that on my phone but then nothing happens and my watch says "there is a problem connecting to assistant right now". if i do a command like "open youtube music" it opens the app on my watch. it seems like it registers the command and then tries to play music on my phone but for what ever reason fails to do so. i guess i will send feedback then I'm assuming that's not something i will get a response from? so does that mean i just need to wait until it starts working again?

You won't get direct response by sending feedback through the method I showed above. It's just difficult to pinpoint the issue at this point since we've tried pretty much what we can. So yes, now it's just the matter of waiting until it works again.

You can also try asking the question in the Google Assistant help forum. Tell them that you've already made a post in the Pixel Watch forum and that you want to get more ideas (so they don't send you back here)

Clear the app cache and data for the assistant app on your watch. Reboot, set it up again and see if that helps

I've also found it won't play my Spotify music either. I get the following message "there's a problem connecting to assistant right now" (see picture). This problem has persisted for around a week now and I have even reset the watch which is always an irritating process but that didn't fix it either. Typically if I ask my Google assistant on my watch to play a requested song or playlist... the assistant voice will song from my phone saying that the requesting song is "playing on Spotify" but it won't actually play it. In fact the current song will continue uninterrupted and the watch will display the same message ( see picture)
Hope it's just a temporary glitch. Really irritating as I use the assistant feature all the time via the watch as it's easier than constantly getting the phone out.

You got that message while trying to play music on Spotify? Looks like unrelated message. Are you able to use Assistant in general by using the physical button?

That's the same message I get when trying to use YouTube music interesting that I happens with Spotify as well.
