Get 2 years of data and texting with your Pixel Watch

Important: If you already use Google Fi Wireless, you don’t need to redeem this offer. Your plan already includes data, text, and calls for your wearables. To learn how to use this benefit, refer to Use your Google Pixel or Samsung Galaxy Watch with Google Fi.

You get 2 years of data for your Pixel Watch 4 (LTE) or Pixel Watch 5 (LTE). This helps you send messages, use maps, and listen to music.

Check eligibility

If you buy a Google Pixel Watch 4 (LTE) or Google Pixel Watch 5 (LTE), you may be eligible for 2 years of data and texting at no additional cost1. To activate the offer, you must be 18 years or older. Devices are eligible if they are purchased in the US (not in Alaska or other US Territories) from one of these retailers:

  • Google Store (online or in-store) starting August 20, 2025
  • Best Buy (online or in-store) starting August 20, 2025
  • Amazon (excluding third-party sellers) starting February 6, 2026

Know what’s included

High-speed data:

  • Get up to 500 MB of data per month. After you reach this data limit, speed slows to 256 kbps.
  • Data usage is capped at 1 GB per month. Roaming outside the US isn’t supported.
  • To know if your area has network availability, review our coverage map.

Texting:

  • Texting syncs your watch and phone with the use of Google Messages over the internet. This allows your watch to send and receive texts using your current phone number and phone’s carrier.
  • To send and receive texts on your watch, you need to have texting service from your primary carrier on your phone. Make sure your phone is on and connected to the internet.

When your watch is outside the Bluetooth range of your paired phone, it can’t make or receive calls.

Activate service

You can activate your watch data during device setup or later in the Pixel Watch app.

To connect data after watch setup:

  1. On your phone, open the Pixel Watch app .
  2. Tap Connectivity and then Mobile network and then Activate Google Fi data .
To receive the full 2 years of service, you must activate your data within 60 days of setting up your watch. The 2 years of service starts from the activation date.

After 2 years, your watch needs its own data plan from a carrier, like Google Fi Wireless, for continued full connectivity. All Google Fi Wireless plans already include this at no charge.

Transfer your service

You can transfer the benefit to another person such as when you give the watch as a gift. You can do this by following the activation steps in the Pixel Watch app.

Fix issues

Troubleshoot issues if you use your watch with Google Fi

When you use your Pixel Watch 4 (LTE) or Pixel Watch 5 (LTE) with Google Fi, you can make phone calls, send texts, and use data. To do this, follow the instructions at Use your Google Pixel or Samsung Galaxy Watch with Google Fi.

Activate your data

Tip: You need to be in a location that has Google Fi service. Check if you're in an eligible location.

  1. Pair your Pixel Watch 4 (LTE) or Pixel Watch 5 (LTE) with your phone.
  2. On your phone, open the Pixel Watch app .
  3. Tap Connectivity and then Mobile network and then Activate Google Fi data .
Verify your age requirements to activate

To activate the offer, you must be 18 years or older. To confirm if your account meets our age requirements, visit Update your account to meet age requirements. You may need to verify your age.

Check if your watch data is working
  1. In your watch’s settings, check which carrier your watch uses. It should indicate either “Google” or “Google Fi”.
  2. On your Google Pixel Watch, swipe down then tap Settings .
  3. Tap Connectivity and then Mobile and then SIM Status.
  4. When you’re out of your phone's Bluetooth range, your watch should use its own internet connection and keep working online.
Redeem 2 years of data after activating a different carrier plan
  1. On Google Pixel Watch, swipe down then tap Settings .
  2. Tap Connectivity and then Mobile and then SIM status.
  3. For any eSIM profile not called “Google”, delete the profile. To delete the profile:
    1. Tap Settings and then Connectivity and then Mobile.
    2. Tap Advanced and then Reset eSIM.
  4. Make sure to deactivate your other carrier service if you pay separately.

Tips:

  • If a profile called "Google" doesn’t show up: On your Pixel Watch app , tap Connectivity and then Mobile network and then Activate Google Fi data .

Find out if your watch can make calls

Yes, as long as your watch is within your phone's Bluetooth range. When they're separated, you can't make calls on your watch. To start, connect and set up your Google Pixel Watch with your phone.

Texting from your watch

Important:

  • You need texting service from your phone's primary carrier for this to work.
  • Your watch doesn't have its own number. Your texts use the phone number on your phone from your main carrier.
  • Your phone must be on and connected to the Internet.
  • You do not need to have the phone and watch right next to each other or connected by Bluetooth.

Texting syncs your watch and phone together using the Google Messages app over the Internet. This lets your watch send and receive text messages from your phone using your current phone number and phone carrier.

Replace your Pixel Watch

Your new watch should let you reactivate your service the same way as before. If you can't activate, contact Pixel Watch Support. You’ll need:
