Unboxing instructions
If your Google package includes a closure label, peel in the direction of the arrow (→) to remove the label and open the package.
Use a screen reader with TalkBack
To interact with your device with touch and spoken feedback, you can turn on the TalkBack screen reader. It describes your actions and tells you about alerts and notifications.
Use a braille display
Important: You no longer need BrailleBack to connect to a braille display.
You can use 6 fingers on your screen to enter 6-dot braille with the TalkBack braille keyboard. This is available in Unified English Braille and many other languages.
Change your display
- Display size and font size: To change the size of items on your screen, adjust the display size or font size. Learn how to change display size and text.
- Magnification: To temporarily zoom or magnify your screen, use magnification.
- Contrast and color options: To adjust contrast or colors, you can use:
- Color correction
- Color inversion
- Dark theme
- Outline text
- To use outline text, your device must run Android 16 and up.
- To make text easier to read on devices that run Android 15 and below, use high-contrast text.
- Select to Speak: If you want spoken feedback at certain times, you can turn on Select to Speak.
- To hear items read or described aloud, select them on your screen or point your camera at them.
Use gestures to navigate your tablet

Set up Google Assistant
You can get help and info from Google Assistant on your Pixel Tablet without unlocking it.
- Open your device's Settings app.
- Tap Apps
Assistant
General.
- Turn Google Assistant on or off.
