After you verify your identity, you can:
- Send money to friends and family internationally. Please note this feature is currently available to a select audience only and will gradually roll out to all US users.
- Use your money in Google Pay to make purchases for Google products such as purchases on Play and YouTube.
- After accepting disclosures, unlock higher transaction limits.

- You want to unlock select features like higher limits.
- Make an international transfer and need to complete a one-time verification of your personal details.
- We noticed a suspicious activity.
How to verify your identity
- If required, you'll be prompted to verify your identity in Google Pay. To do so, you'll need to enter some personal information.
- First and last name
- Address
- City
- State
- Zip code
- Date of birth
- Social security number
- Click Submit.
Tip: Verifications can be processed within seconds or can take up to 48 hours. You'll receive an email when it's completed. We might ask for additional information and documents as proof of identity. Once you're verified, you’re all set to proceed.
Submit documents
Important:
- Provide a valid government-issued ID. The expiration date must be at least 30 days from the date of verification. Documents that expire within 30 days aren’t valid.
- We do not accept:
- Student IDs
- Foreign documents
- Debit or credit cards
- Military IDs
- Veteran cards
- Non-US passports
- Do not upload a picture of your credit or debit card. This isn’t a valid form of identity verification.
Make sure any image or document that you upload:
- Matches your first, last name, and address on your Google Payments profile. If the info on your ID is different, update your profile.
- For proof of address, it isn't older than 90 days.
- For ID cards, they aren't expired.
- Is clearly readable.
- Is an image of a document.
- Shows the full document with all 4 corners.
- Is in color and not black and white.
- Is clear, well-lit, and without glare.
- Isn't covered in any way or blocked by your finger.
Fix issues with verification

To use Google Wallet or Google Pay, you must be at least 18 years old. If you’re below the minimum age requirement, your identity can’t be verified.
Tip: If you tried to verify your identity when you're under 18 years old, but now meet the minimum age requirement, contact Google support.
If your verification is unsuccessful, you’ll receive the result of the decision through an email or account notification on the Google Wallet website. We'll inform you what you need to correct, reupload, or if more information is needed. After you provide your updated verification information, we'll try to verify your ID again.
