Sign up for Google One

Google One is a membership plan for expanded storage that includes extra benefits to help you get more out of Google.

Set up a Google One account

With a Google One subscription, you can buy more storage for Google Drive, Gmail and Google Photos, and you'll receive additional benefits. You can also share your membership with your family.

Step 1 (recommended): Set up account recovery options

To get a Google One membership, you need to be signed in with your personal Google Account.

To make sure that you can always get back into the Google Account associated with your Google One membership, you can set up a recovery phone number or email.

If you're ever locked out of your Google Account, recovery options can help you to get back in. Learn more about account recovery for Google One members.

Add recovery options

If you don't have a personal Google Account, you need to make one.

  2. From the Play Store, download the Google One app.

You can also use Google One on your computer if you visit one.google.com.

How Pixel Pass affects your Google One membership

Important: There are changes to Pixel Pass. Learn more about the changes to Pixel Pass subscriptions.

Pixel Pass subscriptions include a Google One membership. If you sign up for Google One or Play Pass through Google, your services transfer to your Pixel Pass subscription when your device is dispatched.

  • Current Google One members with 200 GB plans or higher keep their current amount of storage.
  • Anyone new to Google One or on a 100 GB plan will receive a 200 GB Google One plan.
  • After sign-up, you can select higher-tier plans.
  • If you subscribe to Pixel Pass but already have Google One through another company: cancel the existing Google One membership so that you don't pay for two subscriptions at once.

To sign up for Google One through Pixel Pass, you must:

  • Live in the United States
  • Use a personal Google Account and be 13 or older to purchase a plan
  • Be eligible for Google One, YouTube Premium and Google Play Pass
  • Leave any existing Google One family

For the full list of eligibility requirements, check how to sign up for Pixel Pass.
