Storage subscriptions
- At any time, you can change your storage plan to either a monthly or annual fee.
- A Google One subscription doesn't expire – it'll be renewed automatically unless you cancel.
- When you switch to a different payment schedule, it can take up to 24 hours for these changes to take effect.
- In addition to the listed price, you may be charged local taxes or fees. These rates may be changed by local entities without notice from Google. Google doesn't charge extra fees beyond the listed price. If you live in the European Economic Area or Morocco, you'll be charged Value Added Tax (VAT) on Google Play purchases. For these purchases, you can request a VAT invoice or receipt.
- It is only possible to buy Google storage in some countries. Find countries where you can buy storage.

If you don't have a Drive plan, you can become a Google One member to get more storage, help from experts and extra member benefits.
Upgrade your Google storage
Important: Make sure that your payment method is up to date before you upgrade your storage.
After you upgrade, your Google One membership replaces your current Google storage plan. Google One members get even more storage space, plus exclusive benefits and family plan sharing. If you want more storage space as a Google One member, follow the steps below. Learn where Google One is available.
Buy storage from the Google One app
- On your iPhone or iPad, download the Google One app.
- Make sure that you're signed in to your Google Account.
- In the Google One app, at the bottom, tap Upgrade.
- Select your new plan pricing and payment date.
- Confirm your payment.
Important: If you purchased your Google One membership outside of the Google One iPhone and iPad app, you may not find the option to upgrade.
Buy storage from the Gmail app
Tip: Make sure that your Gmail app is up to date. It may take a few minutes after you update for your purchase to open. Update your Gmail app.
To get Google One through Gmail:
- On your iPhone or iPad, open Gmail

- Sign in to your Google Account.
- At the top right, tap your Profile picture.
- Tap Storage used
Get storage.
- Select a storage plan.
- To complete the purchase, follow the instructions.
Buy storage from the Google Drive app
Tip: Make sure that your Google Drive app is up to date. It may take a few minutes after you update for your purchase to appear. Update your Google Drive app.
- On your iPhone or iPad, open Google Drive

- Sign in to your Google Account.
- At the top, tap Menu
Storage.
- Under 'View details', tap Buy storage.
- Select a storage plan.
- To complete the purchase, follow the instructions.
Buy storage from the Google Photos app

- On your iPhone or iPad, open the Google Photos app

- Sign in to your Google Account.
- At the top, tap your profile picture or initial

Google One price update in Australia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Egypt, Ghana, Indonesia, Japan, Kazakhstan, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Paraguay, Peru, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Türkiye and the United Republic of Tanzania
Effective from 18 February 2025, the price of Google One plans purchased from Google will increase. New members of Google One can subscribe at the updated price in the countries or regions listed below:

- Mexico

When current Google One members renew their subscription on or after 21 March 2025, they'll be charged the new price. If existing members don't want to renew their subscription at the new price, they can cancel their membership on or before 20 March 2025.
For Google One members on a monthly subscription through the Apple App Store, the new price takes effect on or after 18 March 2025. If they don't want to renew their subscription at the new price, they can cancel their membership on or before 17 March 2025.
Plan price increases vary by plan type and country or region currency. You can check your current plan and price from Google One.
Important: If members are over their storage limit, these services may be interrupted:
- Google Drive
- Gmail
- Google Photos

As a current Google One member, the new price will apply to your plan renewal as follows:
- Google Play: On or after 21 March 2025.
- Apple App Store:
- For annual subscriptions: On or after 21 March 2025.
- For monthly subscriptions: On or after 18 March 2025.
If you don't want to renew at the new price, you can cancel your membership on or before 20 March 2025. Learn how to cancel your Google One membership.
When you cancel your membership, your Google One storage and benefits don't immediately end. At the end of the billing cycle, you lose your paid Google One benefits.
Tip: If you're on a monthly subscription through the Apple App Store and you don't wish to renew your subscription at the new price, you can cancel your membership on or before 17 March 2025.
About Google One plans offered by another company
Important: If your Google One plan is offered through another company, you'll need to contact that company directly to upgrade, downgrade or cancel your plan.
Manage a Google One plan offered by another company
Switch to a Google One plan on the Google One site and appIf you bought your current plan from another company and instead want a plan that's only available for purchase on the Google One site or app, you need to:
- Cancel your current Google One plan by contacting the company that sold you the plan.
- Subscribe to a Google One plan available on the Google One site and app.
If cancelling puts you out of storage, you will need to subscribe to a new plan straight away in order to avoid interruptions to Google services. Learn what happens when you exceed your storage limit.
To fix payment issues, contact the company offering you the plan and make sure that your payment method hasn't expired and the details are correct. You can find a link to contact the company in Google One settings.
Bear in mind that you won't be able to update your payment method on the Google One site or app.
Payment issues
This can happen if your payment method has expired or the details are incorrect or outdated. To fix payment issues, contact the company offering you the Google One plan.
Benefit access
If there's a payment issue, you will continue to have access to your Google One benefits for a limited time. If you don't resolve the issue promptly, your Google One plan will end and your storage limit will be reduced to 15 GB. If you exceed this amount, you will experience interruptions to Gmail, Google Photos, Drive and other Google services. Learn what happens when you exceed your storage limit.
Your Workspace Individual plan comes with 1 TB of storage. You can buy more storage with Google One. Learn about Workspace Individual.
If you're a Google One plan member:- Your Google One plan storage is in addition to your Workspace Individual storage.
- There's no change to your Google One subscription or family plan and membership sharing.
- You stay enrolled unless you choose to cancel.
Storage space doesn't increase after upgrade
It may take up to 24 hours for your new storage to become available after you purchase a new storage plan.
If your storage is still incorrect after 24 hours, sign in to your Google Account to see if your payment went through.
If your payment went through, it's been 24 hours since you upgraded and your storage is still incorrect, try these troubleshooting steps.
If a charge has been applied to your payment card, but you can't find a payment reflected on your Google Account, check whether you're signed in to multiple Google Accounts. If so, Google One may have been purchased on a different account. You can cancel the purchase on that account and repurchase Google One on the desired account. Switch to a plan with less storage
If you don't use all the space that you have right now or you want to pay less for Google storage, downgrade or cancel your storage plan.

Manage subscriptions that were not purchased on the App StoreIf you use the Google One website or another device to sign up for a plan instead of the App Store:
- You can't change your Google One plan on your iPhone or iPad.
Tip: If you purchased via the Google One website, you can manage your plan on the web at Google One.
- At the top right, select Settings
Change membership plan.
- Choose your new storage limit. You can choose a monthly or yearly subscription.
If you have Google One on an Android device, you can change your membership plan in Settings.
If you want to manage your membership with the app on iPhone or iPad, you must buy a plan with an Apple subscription.
Step 1: Cancel your Google One plan
On your computer:
- Go to Google One.
- At the top right, select Settings
Cancel membership.
- Select Cancel.
Step 2: Buy a Google One plan with an Apple subscription
On your iPhone or iPad:
- Download the Google One app from the App Store.
- Open the Google One app
.
- On the left, tap Menu
Membership plans.
- Select a Google One plan.
- After you've picked your plan, confirm your new subscription in the App Store.
Tip: You can also manage your payment method or manage your subscriptions with Google Play.
To make changes to your Google One membership plan on your iPhone or iPad, you must make those changes in the Google app used to purchase the plan.
