What you need
- Chromecast or Chromecast Ultra that runs Cast version 1.32+. Learn how to check your firmware version.
- Google Home, Google Nest Mini (2nd gen), Google Home Mini (1st gen), Google Home Max, Google Nest Audio, Google Nest Hub, Google Nest Hub Max, Chromecast with Google TV, or Google TV Streamer (4K).

Step 1. Set up your speaker or display and Google streaming device
- Set up your speaker or display.
- Set up your Google streaming device:
Important: Make sure your mobile device or tablet is linked to the same account as your Google streaming device and speaker or TV.
Step 2. Link your speaker or display and streaming device
- Open the Google Home app

- At the top right, tap your account.

Verify that the Google Account shown is the one linked to your Google device. If correct, tap Close
to exit the account window. To switch accounts, tap the drop down
another account or Add another account.
- Scroll to "Local Devices" and find your device
tap Link Account
follow the in-app instructions to finish linking.
Step 3. Set your preferred TV
It's recommended that you choose a TV that will always play your video. That way, you won't have to include the TV's name in your voice command.

Note: For Chromecast with Google TV and Google TV Streamer, hold down and press the microphone button on the Voice Remote to activate Assistant. There’s no need to say “Ok Google” or “Hey Google.”
