When you play media in the Google Chrome browser on your PC, you can cast it to your Google Nest or Home speaker or display. This feature lets your speaker or display play music, audiobooks, or other media from services that aren't supported in the Google Home app.
To cast content to your speaker or display:
- Your computer must meet the minimum system requirements.
- Your computer and speaker or display must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Check the Wi-Fi network of your speaker or display.
- Your computer must have the recent version of Google Chrome (version 72 or higher). Update Google Chrome.
- Local Network must be enabled for mobile devices with iOS 14 or later and computers with MacOS 15 or later to discover Cast-enabled devices. Learn more about Local Network for casting.
