Set up Google Fitbit Air
- Before you set up Google Fitbit Air, first connect it to the charging cable.

Wear Google Fitbit Air
For the most accurate tracking, wear your Google Fitbit Air on top of your wrist, like how you’d wear a watch. Make sure the sensor stays in constant contact with your skin to ensure it captures your data correctly.
Adjust the woven band
- Remove any accessories, such as bracelets, from your wrist.
- Slide the band over your hand and position the tracker on top of your wrist, behind your wrist bone.
- Push down on the metal loop while simultaneously pulling back on the band until it fits comfortably snug.
- Wrap the band over the device and close it with the loop band.
When fitted properly:
- There should be just enough space for your pinky finger to slide between the band and your wrist.
- The device shouldn't slide up or down or rotate around your wrist.
Change the band
Google Fitbit Air comes with a standard-sized woven band.
- Hold the outside edges of the band next to where the device sits.
- Push firmly on top of the device to pop it out of its current band.
- Press the device into your new band until it snaps into place.
- Make sure the small alignment markings on the band and tracker line up.
- Firmly double-tap the top of the tracker to confirm if the LED light flash appears.
Tip: If there’s no LED light, you may need to:- Repeat steps 1 to 3.
- Rotate the tracker in the wristband to ensure the small alignment markings line up correctly.

Wear Google Fitbit Air with Google Pixel Watch
You can pair both the Google Fitbit Air and Google Pixel Watch to the Google Health app at the same time. Wear them together, or seamlessly switch between the 2 devices. Your information will be automatically synced to the app, and you’ll be able to filter the view by device.
Google Fitbit Air Pokémon Sleep SE 
Google Fitbit Air Special Edition Pokémon Sleep tracks your sleep, helping you establish sleeping habits through consistent rest. The device features a night-themed band inspired by the Pokémon Sleep experience and a custom silk print label of Sleeping Pikachu. The longer you sleep, the more Pokémon you can discover.
Important:
- You must be 13 years of age or above to use this product.
- You must be 18 years of age or above to use AI features.
- Customers in the US and Japan can purchase the Special Edition band at store.google.com and select third-party retailers (Target exclusive in the US).
- Standard Google Health sleep data syncs directly to the Pokémon Sleep app. A Google Health account and an active Google Health Premium subscription are needed for advanced features like the Google Health Coach.
Connect to the Pokémon Sleep app and sync your data
You can turn your consistent rest into an adventure when you download the Pokémon Sleep app and pair it with your Fitbit Air and Google Health app. To get started, follow the steps below that match your phone.
Android instructionsStep 1: Sync Fitbit Air with Google Health
Follow the steps above to set up your Google Fitbit Air with the Google Health app.
Step 2: Download the Pokémon Sleep app.
Go to Google Play and download the Pokémon Sleep app.
If it’s your first time downloading a game in Google Play, you’ll be asked to create a Play Games profile. Follow the steps in Google Play to create your gamer profile.
Tip: You will need a LTE or data connection to set up the Pokémon Sleep app.
Step 3: Share sleep data in the Google Health app
- Open the Google Health app
- At the top left, tap Connections
Partner apps
Manage Health Connect.
- If Pokémon Sleep isn't installed: Tap Sync your favorite health apps.
- Tap Manage data and access
See more health apps.
- Tap Pokémon Sleep and then turn on Allow all.
- Tap the back arrow to save the setting. You should now see Pokémon Sleep in the list of apps under “Allowed access.”
Step 4: Set up the Pokémon Sleep app
Open the Pokémon Sleep app and complete the onboarding steps in the app. This can take several minutes, and then follow Pokémon Sleep’s device pairing instructions.
Step 1: Sync Fitbit Air with Google Health
Follow the steps above to set up your Google Fitbit Air with the Google Health app. Make sure you’ve updated to the latest version of the Google Health app before proceeding.
Step 2: Link Google Health to Apple Health.
- Open the Google Health app
- At the top left, tap Connections

Turn On All.
- Tap Done.
Step 3: Download the Pokémon Sleep app.
In Apple’s App Store, search for and download the Pokémon Sleep app.
Step 4: Link Pokémon Sleep to Apple Health.
- Open the Pokémon Sleep app.
- Tap Menu
Pair a Device
Pair a Device.
- Tap Turn On All and then select Google Health
.
- Tap Pair a Device
OK.

Sync your sleep data to the Pokémon Sleep app
Once paired, your Fitbit Air will automatically track your sleep when you wear it to bed. When you launch the Pokémon Sleep app for the first time in a day, you’ll be prompted to sync your sleep data to Pokémon Sleep. Subsequent Pokémon Sleep app launches throughout the day won’t prompt you again. You’ll be prompted again on the next day. Each “day” resets at 4AM local time.
To force-synchronize your data to the Pokémon Sleep app:
- Open the Pokémon Sleep app.
- Synchronize your sleep data.
- For Android: Tap Sync
Health Connect at the bottom of the home screen,
- For iOS: Tap Settings
Apple Health at the bottom of the home screen.
- For Android: Tap Sync
- Tap Synchronize
OK.

Get to know Google Fitbit Air
Wear your device to track your activity, sleep, and health metrics. Then check the Google Health app on your phone to review your data.
Check your device status
Instead of a screen, the Google Fitbit Air has a status light that shows you the device status through these light patterns:

Check your battery level
Firmly double-tap your Fitbit Air to wake the status light:
- White light: Your device is working and the battery level is between 20% and 100%.
- Red light: Your battery level is below 20%. Charge your device soon.
- No light: Device is off or out of battery.
Set alarms
Set one-time or recurring silent alarms through the Google Health app. These alarms wake you up with a quiet vibration on your wrist. To turn off the alarm, firmly double-tap the device.

Track your activity and health metrics
Important:
- Some features are only accessible with Google Health Premium. Learn more about what you get with Google Health Premium.
- Some advanced health tracking features, such as Irregular Rhythm Notifications and SpO2 estimation, aren’t available in all regions.
Google Fitbit Air automatically tracks various health metrics. All data syncs through Bluetooth to the Google Health app, where you can check your progress and insights.
Get your metrics
Open the Google Health app on your phone to find daily metrics like steps, distance, cardio load, calories burned, and sleep stages.
Track exercise with the Google Health app
Google Fitbit Air automatically recognizes and records many activities. After a workout, open the app to review your metrics, tag different exercises, and modify workout durations. You can also start an exercise mode and get real-time data like heart rate zones while exercising.

Receive irregular rhythm notifications
Google Fitbit Air collects data for irregular heart rhythm notifications, which may be an indication of atrial fibrillation (AFib). The Google Health app can notify you if an irregular heart rhythm is detected.

Google Fitbit Air can estimate your blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) levels during sleep. You can get your trends and average SpO2 levels in the Google Health app.
