To capture photos, record videos, and adjust settings, you can use the Camera app on your Googlebook.
Take a photo
- On your Googlebook, open the Camera app
.
- At the bottom right, if Photo mode isn’t active yet, select Photo
.
- To switch between your cameras, at the top right, select the Camera switcher
.
- You can select from:
- Front facing: This uses your front camera.
- World facing: This uses your back camera.
- External camera: If available, this shows your external cameras.
- To take the photo, select the shutter button.
Record a video
- On your Googlebook, open the Camera app
.
- At the bottom right, select Video
.
- The default active mode is Photo mode.
- To switch between your cameras, at the top left, select the Camera switcher
.
- You can select from:
- Front facing: This uses your front camera.
- World facing: This uses your back camera.
- External camera: If available, this shows your external cameras.
- To record the video, select the shutter button.
- To stop recording, select the shutter button again.

Adjust photo settings
- On your Googlebook, open the Camera app
.
- At the bottom right, if Photo mode isn’t active yet, select Photo
.
- At the bottom left, select Settings
.
- Select a setting you want to adjust:
- Timer: Adjust the countdown before you take a photo or turn off the timer.
- Ratio: Select your preferred image aspect ratio, such as 16:9 (wide) or 4:3 (standard).
- Flip: Mirror the preview horizontally.
Adjust video settings
- On your Googlebook, open the Camera app
.
- At the bottom right, select Video
.
- At the bottom left, select Settings
.
- Select a setting you want to adjust:
- Resolution: Select a resolution from one of the options provided.
- The available resolutions depend on the capabilities of your selected camera.
- Flip: Mirror the preview horizontally.
- Resolution: Select a resolution from one of the options provided.
