Easily multitask on your Googlebook by resizing, arranging, and organizing your app windows.
Use window controls
Resize app windowsMinimize an app window
To move an opened app to the Taskbar:
- Open an app.
- At the top right of the app header bar, select Minimize
.
- To reopen the app, select it from the Taskbar.
Tip: You can also click on the app in the Taskbar to minimize it.
Maximize an app window
To open expand the app window and still show the Taskbar and window controls:
- Open an app.
- At the top right of the app header bar, select Maximize
.
Tip: You can also double click the app header bar.
Resize an app window to Full screen
To hide the Taskbar and window controls:
- Open an app.
- At the top right of the app header bar, hover over Maximize
.
- Select Full screen
.
Tip: To exit Full screen mode, hover your cursor near the top of your app window and select Restore .
Close an app window
At the top right of the app header bar, select Close .
You can work on 2 apps at the same time when you place them side-by-side.
Split an app window to the left or right
To resize an app window to half of your screen:
- Open an app.
- At the top right of the app header bar, hover over Maximize
.
- Above “Resize,” select left
or right
panel.
Resize 2 windows to Split screen
To hide the Taskbar and window controls with 2 apps side-by-side:
- Open an app.
- At the top right of the app header bar, hover over Maximize
.
- Select Split screen
.
- On the other side of your screen, select the second app you want to use.
Tip: To exit Split screen mode, hover your cursor near the top of your any of the half app windows and select Restore .
Manage & arrange windows
Resize a windowYou can resize a window exactly how you prefer.
- Select and hold any corner of a window.
- To resize the window, drag the corner.
- Release the window at your desired size.
If you have multiple open windows open, to switch to a different open window, select the window to bring it into focus.
If you have an external monitor connected, you can move your work between screens.
- At the top of the app window, select and hold the title bar.
- Drag the window across the edge of your current screen to the display that you want to move the window to.
- Release the window when it shows on the other display.
Tip: You can't drag windows between screens if one of the displays has an app in Full screen mode.
You can quickly move open windows out of the way to peek at your Home screen.
- Open your Googlebook’s Settings app

Customize corner shortcuts.
- Select the corner you want to use:
- Bottom-left corner
- Bottom-right corner
- Top-left corner
- Top-right corner
- Select Peek or unpeek desktop.
- To activate the peek action, move your cursor into that specific corner of your screen.
