You can input text with your braille display’s keyboard. Various commands are available for editing and you can also use the cursor routing keys of your display.
Edit a text field
- If your braille display has routing keys: Select one of them when it's focused on the text field.
- If your braille display doesn't have routing keys: To activate the text field:
- On your Googlebook keyboard, press Enter.
- Or, on your braille display keyboard, press dot 8.
- On your Googlebook keyboard, press Enter.
- If you use a different keyboard: To type with a braille display, you need to change your keyboard app to TalkBack braille keyboard.
- Open your Googlebook’s Settings app

- Turn on Braille keyboard.
- To switch to Braille keyboard, press Ctrl + Space.
- Open your Googlebook’s Settings app
