In this article, you can find steps to fix the problems on your Googlebook, like:
- Doesn’t turn on
- Turns on but doesn’t charge
- Turns on but immediately turns off
- With your power adapter and cable, try to charge another device.
- Check that the cable is securely connected to the power adapter and to your device.
- Check that there's nothing in the port of your device, like dust or lint.
- With another cable or power adapter, try to charge your device.
- Plug the charger into a wall outlet.
- Plug in something else, like a lamp.
- Check that:
- Nothing blocks the port.
- Buttons aren't accidentally pressed.
- Plug in your device with a working cable, outlet, and either the original or a compatible charger that provides equal or higher power.
- Wait at least 10 minutes.
- If you find a battery icon, your device is powered off and is charging.
- If your device has a Lightbar or LED light for power, the light shows that the device is charging.
- Open your Googlebook’s Diagnostics app.
- Select Overview.
- To start the test, under “Battery usage,” select Charge test.
- If the rate of charge and discharge is very low, there may be a problem with the battery or charging port.
