If your device feels warm, you shouldn’t be too concerned. Your Googlebook can get warm if you:
- Play games or media
- Transfer large amounts of data
- Run activities that use a lot of resources
- Begin fast charging your device when a low battery level
Check your device temperature
- Open your Googlebook’s Diagnostics app.
- Select Overview.
- Under the "CPU usage," find your device’s temperature. Learn how to use Diagnostics to troubleshoot issues on your Googlebook.
Prevent your device from getting too hot
- Turn on Battery Saver if you're using your device without a connected charger.
- Unplug your device from the charger temporarily.
- Keep cooling fans and ventilation openings clean and free of dust or debris.
- Avoid using the device on blankets, bedding, clothing on your lap or other soft fabrics that might block airflow and cause rapid overheating.
- Keep your Googlebook away from excessive heat, such as inside a hot vehicle or outside in direct sunlight.
- To let your Googlebook cool, stop any features or apps that use many resources. Once your device cools, you can restart them. Your device can overheat when you:
- Place video calls.
- Record with the Camera app.
- Play media, such as stream shows over Wi-Fi or 5G, or play downloaded videos.
- Use resource-intensive apps while you charge your device.
- Reduce display brightness.
- Open your Googlebook’s Settings app.

- On your Googlebook, open the Task Manager app.
- Select the app with the high CPU usage
