Manage Autoclick (Dwell timing) settings

You can set the cursor of your Googlebook to automatically take action when the cursor stops moving for a certain amount of time. This feature can help users with motor impairments.

Turn on Autoclick & manage settings

  1. On your Googlebook, open the Settings app .
  2. Select Accessibility and then Cursor & touchpad accessibility and then Autoclick (Dwell timing).
  3. Turn on Use autoclick.
  4. You can adjust these settings:
    • Autoclick shortcut: To add a shortcut outside the Settings app to easily turn on and off Autoclick, enable this setting.
      • The default shortcut is a floating button. To change it or add other options, on the left of the toggle, select Right .
    • Delay before click: Select your preferred time to click after the cursor stops moving. To set a custom timeout, you can use the slider.
    • Click area: Select the area where the cursor can freely move without canceling the click once the countdown starts.
    • Ignore minor cursor movement: To ignore minor cursor movements or jitter, during dwell clicks, turn on this setting. It helps you prevent an accidental reset of the dwell timer.
      • This is turned off by default.
    • Use left-click as the default action: To automatically revert to a standard left-click after you perform another action, turn on this setting. This applies to actions like right-click, double-click, or drag from the floating click type selector.

Tip: When you hover the cursor over “Pause,” a countdown indicator appears. At the end of the countdown, it triggers a left-click and pauses autoclick. The icon changes to “Resume.”

  • Scroll panel: When the click type is “Scroll,” you can find the "Scroll panel." With this panel, you can:
