Explore the Home screen
To quickly get to your favorite content, you can customize and organize your Googlebook Home screen. You can organize apps, widgets, and files to your Home screen and change the layout.
On the Home screen, you can:
- Add an app or widget
- Move or delete an app, folder, or widget
- Create and rename a folder

Navigate with your Taskbar
At the bottom of your screen, there’s a row of apps called the Taskbar. You can switch between apps though the Taskbar and customize it to show your most frequently used apps.
- Pinned apps: For easy access, you can pin apps that you frequently use.
- You can also pin files or folders on your Home screen to the Taskbar for easier access to them.
- Unpinned apps: When you open an app that isn’t pinned on your Taskbar, its icon appears on the right side of the Taskbar.
- All apps: To find and search for all of your apps, select Action

Use the status bar
On your Googlebook, at the top, you can find the status bar. To get important info and quickly access key functions on your Googlebook, you can manage the status bar. This helps create a calm, efficient experience, and reduce distractions.
Explore the status bar
- Calendar: You can find the Calendar in the top left corner of the screen for quick date and time information.
- Quick Settings: With Quick Settings, you can access and manage your device's important settings like Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Learn how to change settings quickly on your Googlebook.
- Notifications: Through notifications, you can receive new messages, alerts, and system updates. Learn how to control notifications on your Googlebook.
- Current activities and media: You can also find indicators of your current activities like screencast or media like active music.
- Privacy indicator: When an app accesses your microphone or camera, privacy indicators show up on the status bar. With these indicators, you can monitor and control your device's privacy.
Change modes: The status bar adapts its content based on your current mode. This includes touch and desktop modes. In touch mode, some elements, like virtual keyboard pods, can collapse or hide. This behavior is similar to that on tablets.
Adjust your settings with Quick Settings
You can find and change your settings, like Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, directly from your screen with Quick Settings. To quickly access the settings you change often, you can add or move them to Quick Settings. Learn how to change your settings quickly on your Googlebook.
Create and navigate between workspaces
To make workspace, drag an app over to the right or left side of your screen.
If you have more than one workspace, use the left and right arrows at the bottom of your Home screen to navigate between them.
Search on your Googlebook
You can search on apps, contacts, settings, Google Play Store, and the web.
- On your Googlebook’s home screen, select Action
.
- Or, on your keyboard, press the Action
key.
- Or, on your keyboard, press the Action
- In the search bar, enter your query.
- From the list, select a search result.
- Scroll to find more results or to search in apps.
