With Quick Share, you can send and receive files, photos, videos, and more with nearby devices, such as:
- Android phones and tablets
- Another Googlebook
- Chromebooks
- Select Windows PCs
It offers fast, secure, and convenient sharing. You can use it to send documents to your Googlebook or share photos with an Android phone.
To use Quick Share, make sure the Googlebook and the devices you want to send or receive content from have Bluetooth enabled.
Find Quick Share on your Googlebook
From Quick Settings- On your Googlebook, at the top right, open Quick Settings.
- On the Quick Settings menu, select Quick Share

- Under “Connected Devices & Sharing,” select Quick Share

Google Services - On your Googlebook, right-click on the content you want to share.
- Select Share
- To access Quick Share, on your taskbar, under “Quick Settings,” select Quick Share

Send content from your Googlebook
With Quick Share, you can share content with other nearby devices.
Share from apps- Open the app where what you want to share is located.
- Select Share.
- From the share sheet, select Quick Share
- It scans for nearby devices.
- Select the device you want to share with.
- To select multiple receivers, you can select more than one device.
- Wait for the other device to accept your share request.
- When the receiver confirms your request, the file is sent.
Tip: If you can’t find the recipient’s device, make sure their Quick Share is turned on. Check that their “Who can share with you” settings allow your device to find them.
You can open the Quick Share app directly to select and send files.
- On your Googlebook, open Quick Share
- To add the files you want to share, you can either:
- Drag the files into Quick Share.
- Select Add files to send.
- Select the device you want to share with.
- To select multiple receivers, you can select more than one device.
- Wait for the other device to accept your share request.
- When the receiver confirms your request, the file is sent.
If you can’t find your recipient's device, you can generate a QR code.
- On your Googlebook, open Quick Share
- Select Share using QR code

- To get connected and receive content from your Googlebook, nearby devices can scan the QR code.
Receive content with Quick Share
With Quick Share, you can get content from other nearby devices.
- On your Googlebook, open Quick Share
- Select your device visibility.
- Your devices: Only your devices can share with you.
- Contacts: Your contacts with a Google Account can share with you.
- Everyone: Anyone nearby can share with you.
- Everyone temporarily: Anyone nearby can share with you for 10 minutes.
- Wait for a notification that tells you who tries to share and what content they want to share with you.
- On the notification:
- To begin the transfer, select Accept.
- To reject the transfer, select Decline.
