To search your screen without switching apps, use Circle to Search on your Googlebook. This feature uses Google Lens to help you get answers, identify objects, and perform tasks directly from your current screen.
- On your Googlebook’s taskbar, select and hold Action
.
- Or, on your keyboard, press Action
+ a.
- Or, on your keyboard, press Action
- To select the text, image, or video you want to search:
- Circle
- Highlight
- Select anything on your screen
- If desired, to refine your search, add text in the search bar.
- Find the results in the Google Search window.

Translate screen text with Circle to SearchTo translate the text that shows on your screen, you can use Circle to Search.
Translate specific text
- Open Circle to Search.
- Select the text you want to translate.
Tips:- If text isn’t selected automatically, select Select text.
- If needed, adjust the selection manually.
- Select Translate.
Translate your entire screen instantly
- Open Circle to Search.
- Next to the search bar, select Translate.
Tip: At the bottom, in the language selector pill, choose the languages of your translation.
Translate your screen while you scroll
This easily translates long webpages and documents so you don't have to tap multiple times to translate.
Important: The Scroll and translate feature will be gradually released to selected devices only, so at this moment it won’t be available to all Android users.
- Open Circle to Search.
- Next to the search bar, select Translate.
- At the bottom, in the language selector pill, choose the languages of your translation.
- Select Scroll and translate.
- To translate automatically, scroll over new text.
- To exit, next to the pill with the selected language, select Close.
