How to add business name and logo in Video campaigns

To ensure that your brand is accurately represented and to create a more consistent advertiser experience across ad formats, you’re required to provide a business name and logo when you create your Video campaigns. This helps your ads look more professional, especially if you use videos that aren’t hosted on your own YouTube channel.

This article explains the new requirement to add a business name and logo for specific Video campaigns.

Prepare for success

When you create your Video view campaigns, Video reach campaigns, and specific Reservation campaigns, you will be prompted to add a business name and logo. Google Ads will automatically suggest these for you to make the process easier.

The prefilled suggestions are based on the following sources, in order:

  • Last used assets: These are the most recent business name and logo you used in your Google Ads account.
  • Your YouTube channel: If you haven't provided these assets, it will suggest the channel name and logo from the YouTube video you add to your campaign.
Note: If there are no suggestions available, you'll need to manually add your business name and logo and continue to create your campaign. The ad preview will show how your business name and logo will appear in your final ad.

  1. Go to Campaigns within the Campaigns menu.
  2. Follow the steps on how to:
  3. After you set up your campaign settings and ad groups, in the “Create your video ads” section, search for a video that you’ve uploaded or paste the video URL from YouTube in the box provided.
  4. Enter your business name in the “Business name” field.
  5. In the “Logo” section, select + Add to add your preferred logo. You have 4 options on how to add your logo from the slider panel:
    • Website or social
    • Suggested
    • Asset library
    • Upload
  6. After you select your logo, select Save and continue your campaign creation.
  7. When done, select Create campaign.
Note: If you’ve used a business name and logo, Google Ads will prefill the “Business name” and “Logo” with the last used assets in your Google Ads account.

  1. Go to Ads within the Campaigns menu.
  2. Select the pencil icon next to the ad that you want to edit the business name and logo for. In the dialogue that opens, select Edit.
  3. In the “Edit video ad” page, go to the “Business name” and “Logo” sections to apply your edits.
  4. When done, select Save ad to reflect your changes.
