How it works

When you attach a Hotel Center feed to your Demand Gen campaign, it allows your campaign to use your inventory data for better ad creation and targeting. The system automatically builds dynamic ads that use your property images, names, and prices, helping them reach potential travelers on YouTube.

When you browse travel-related content on YouTube, the campaign can serve a highly relevant ad that features a curated list of your hotels. These ads will match your interests and include up-to-date pricing and visuals from your feed.

How to attach a Hotel Center feed to Demand Gen campaigns

  1. Go to Campaigns within the Campaigns menu Campaigns Icon.
  2. If you’re creating a new Demand Gen campaign, follow the steps on how to Create a Demand Gen campaign.
  3. If you have an existing Demand Gen campaign, select the gear icon Google Ads | gear [Icon] next to the campaign name.
  4. In the “Hotel feeds” card, toggle the Run a hotel feed with this campaign and select your Hotel Center account.
    • Note: Hotel feeds are turned on by default if you have a Hotel Center feed account attached to your Google Ads account.
  5. (Optional) In the “Choose hotel groups” card in your selected ad group, select Specific hotels and choose which hotel to show in your ads.
    • Note: All hotels are selected by default.
  6. When you create your ads, the “Video and hotels ad” is pre-selected.
    • Note: Your hotel feed will only appear in ads served on YouTube, while Discover will show a video ad without the feed. If you select “Single image ad” or “Carousel image ad”, your hotel feed won’t show.
  7. Select Go to review and review your campaign details.
Note: Only one feed type can be attached per Demand Gen campaign. This means that you can’t attach both Hotel Center feed and Google Merchant Center feed to the same campaign. While you can't remove your Hotel Center feed after you’ve attached it to a campaign, you can still pause your Hotel Center feed.

How to pause a Hotel Center feed-enabled Demand Gen campaign

  1. Go to Campaigns within the Campaigns menu Campaigns Icon.
  2. Pause the Demand Gen campaign enabled with the hotel feeds, follow the steps on how to Enable, pause or remove a campaign.
  3. Select the gear icon Google Ads | gear [Icon] next to the campaign name.
  4. In the "Hotel feeds" card, switch the Run a hotel feed with this campaign toggle to off.
  5. Select Save.

Note: You can’t pause hotel ads in an active Demand Gen campaign. To stop them, pause your current campaign and build a new one with the same settings, ensuring you turn off the hotel feeds.
