Advertisers can view their channel-level data in the Performance Max channel performance report. Performance Max channels are the surfaces where your ads are served to potential customers. To help reach the most relevant audience for your ads, Performance Max ads are served on the following channels:
In addition to channel, you can segment your channel performance report by the following format types:
- Ads using product data: Ads that use product data from Merchant Center, including Shopping ads across Google Search, YouTube Search, Maps, and Search partners, as well as dynamic remarketing on Google Display Network. Other formats using Merchant Center data on Gmail and video ads with products on YouTube and Discover will be included soon.
- Ads using video: Ads that use the video ad format.
Before you begin
When reviewing your channel performance report, keep in mind that a single channel can include multiple ad formats. For example, the YouTube channel might include video, text, image and product ads.
Performance Max channels
Search
The Search channel includes any ad that serves on:
- Google.com (excluding google.com/maps)
- Google Search app (excluding Discover feed)
- Search partners (excluding Maps search and YouTube search)

YouTube
The YouTube channel includes any ad that runs on YouTube, such as video and non-video ads. For example, text ads can appear in YouTube search results and image ads may appear in the YouTube home feed.
