Benefits
- Increased transparency: Have better visibility into performance data to help you gain insights into individual product performance metrics like impressions, clicks, and click-through rate (CTR).
- Informed optimization: Use data on which products perform best to refine your advertising strategy and product selections in your feeds.
- Uniformed reporting: Have a more consistent reporting experience when you also create Performance Max, Shopping, or Video campaigns.
How it works
You can access product reporting at the campaign or ad group level of your app campaigns in the “Products” tab. The statistics table in the “Products” tab allows you to view detailed performance metrics for individual products sourced from your linked Google Merchant Center feeds.
How to access the Products tab
- Go to Campaigns within the Campaigns menu.
- Select a specific App campaign or ad group.
- In the page menu on the left, select the Products drop down and then Products.
- Select the Products tab.
Performance metrics and columns
You can view the following types of information in the product reporting table:
Metrics
- Clicks: A click is attributed to a product only if there’s direct interaction with a product element in the ad. Clicks on the ad title, install button, or elsewhere aren’t counted in the “Products” tab.
- Click-through rate (CTR): CTR is the ratio of how often people who view your ad end up clicking it. It’s calculated by dividing clicks by impressions.
- Impressions: When your ad with products is served, all products in the ad are counted as an impression.
Columns

- Click-through rate (CTR)

Considerations around product reporting in App campaigns
- Unsupported metrics: Cost, Conversions, Avg. CPC, and other conversion-based metrics aren’t supported yet.
- Account-level view: The report can’t be viewed at the account level. You must navigate to a specific campaign or ad group.
- Report Editor availability: This report isn’t available in the Report Editor.
