Set up Clickio to obtain user consent

To capture valuable insights while protecting user privacy, you need to collect consent from your website users. We recommend you use a Consent Management Platform (CMP) or work with your Content Management System (CMS) to collect consent and send it to Google.

Step 1 of 2: Set up a consent banner

  1. Sign up or Sign in at Clickio account.
  2. Navigate to Consent (GDPR) > Site Settings and configure your banner using the getting started wizard.
  3. Ensure that the Google Consent Mode v2 setting is enabled.
  4. Make sure your banner complies with the requirements in the Google EU User Consent Policy (EUUCP).

  2. Copy the on-page code and insert it as the first script in the <head> tag of each page of your website.
    • If you use a website builder, review their documentation to find out how to implement code in the <head> tag of each page. For detailed instructions on integrating Clickio Consent with various Content Management Systems, refer to the implementation documentation.
