How it works
Asset best practice recommendations provide actionable suggestions to boost your campaign performance across factors like your business vertical, the advertising channel, image orientation and specific image features. This helps Google Ads identify which image attributes drive the best results.
Example
If images with a white background perform well in the Display channel in Performance Max in your particular business vertical, you'll receive a suggestion to update the assets in your asset groups lacking a white background.
Get started
From the 'Recommendations' page, you can identify areas where you can improve your asset groups. Recommendation attributes include:
- Background colour, like recommending a white background based on Google analysis data.
- Aspect ratio, like recommending a square (1:1) instead of a vertical image (9:16).
When you choose to edit an image, you'll be directed to an integrated AI Image Editor. Within this workflow, you can update your image based on the provided recommendations. You retain full control to review all suggestions, apply recommendations using the editor, upload your own images or dismiss the recommendations.
