Step 4 of 5: Set up new versus returning customer reporting in your Google tag (optional, but recommended)

In order to accurately report on new versus returning customers in your campaign reporting, we strongly recommend setting up the new versus returning customer parameter in your Google tag. Learn more about how to set up a new customer acquisition parameter in your conversion tracking tag.

Note: Lifecycle goals do not require that you set up this tag parameter, but doing so will greatly improve the accuracy of your reporting.
