It’s recommended that you add a Google tag to your website or use the Google Tag Manager, if you haven’t tagged already.
- If you use a website builder or content management system (CMS), you might be able to set up your tag without editing your website's code. Learn how to Install your Google tag with a website builder or CMS. Ensure the tag is installed on every page of your site.
- Set up your tags to capture the transaction ID/Order ID
After confirming that the requirements above are met, follow the instructions to set up enhanced conversions using one of the following methods:
- Google Tag Manager: If you currently use Google Tag Manager for conversion tracking you can set up enhanced conversions for web using Google Tag Manager with only slight changes to your configuration.
- The Google tag: If you've implemented conversion tracking implemented using the Google tag directly on your page (not within a third-party tool or iFrame), you can set up enhanced conversions for web using the Google tag by making slight changes to your configuration.
Setting up enhanced conversions for web allows the Google tag to collect user-provided data, improving the accuracy and durability of your measurement. However, if you're tracking online leads that convert offline through phone calls, emails, or in-person visits, you should configure the tag using the enhanced conversions for leads setup instead.
