Set up and test reporting with conversions with cart data

Step 3: Test to see that conversions with basket data is implemented correctly

If conversions with basket data metrics are not available or are showing up incorrectly, you should verify that the conversion tag parameters are implemented properly. To do this, complete a test order following these steps to see if the parameters are passed correctly:

Test implementation for web

  1. Open the Chrome developer tools by clicking the Chrome menu in the top-right corner of your Google Chrome web browser and selecting 'More tools'.
  2. Then click on 'Developer tools'.
  3. In the 'Developer tools' pane, select 'Network'.
  4. Submit your test order in the Google Chrome web browser.
  5. Search for the request that contains your conversion (search for '/conversion'). The query string parameters should include the basket parameters, as shown in this example:

mid = aw_merchant_id
 fcntr = aw_feed_country
 flng = aw_feed_language
 dscnt = discount
 item = items (the array) mapping all items with (items.id * items.price * items.quantity)

Test Implementation for app conversions

  1. Enable Debug mode on your development device and use the DebugView to verify purchase event parameters.
  2. Look for a purchase event and click into it. A panel will appear on the right, here you will be able to check whether the following basket parameters are appearing:
    1. 'Items' tab
      1. item_id
      2. price
      3. quantity
    2. In the 'Parameters' tab, look for the following

      2. discount
      3. aw_merchant_id,
      4. aw_feed_country
      5. aw_feed_language
