Business information allows you to complement your existing desktop and mobile text ads with business assets like business name and business logo. These assets can help advertisers better connect with new and existing customers by leveraging brand equity. Learn more About business information.
If your business name or logo asset is disapproved, it may be because it doesn't meet Google's requirements for relevance or distinguishing. Common reasons for disapproval include the “business name not matching your verified legal name” or “domain name”, or exceeding the 25 character limit.
Brand verification allows you to use a trademarked business name or logo that might otherwise be disapproved. If you have an active trademark for your business name (for example, a trading name, a shortened name, or a sub-brand), you can apply for brand Verification to have it approved for use in your ads.
Brand verification for business information
Before attempting brand Verification, ensure you create a business name asset first and it should also be disapproved for Business name not relevant. This is the primary path for advertisers whose desired business name is a registered trademark but doesn’t match their legal or domain name.
Alternatively, if you don't have a trademark, you can try to resolve the disapproval by ensuring your business name asset matches one of the following:
- Your verified legal business name: This name is shown in your advertiser verification documents.
- Your registered domain name: For example, if your domain is "example.com", your business name could be "Example.com" or ”Example".
In both cases, the name must be prominently displayed on your landing page and must not exceed the 25 character limit. If your legal or domain name is too long, consider re-verifying with a shorter legal name if applicable, or using a shorter version of your domain name.
Disclaimer: To complete brand verification for your assets, your account needs to complete the Advertiser verification program, you can find this in the Account page of your Google Ads account.
