Report Google AI policy violations that involve your likeness

You can report instances where you believe your likeness has been generated or altered by someone else with Google's generative AI tools without your consent. This process helps Google address violations of its policies and maintain a safe and respectful environment for all users.

Important: Currently, complaints are supported for images only.

Eligibility requirements

To submit a complaint, you must be:

  • Signed in with a personal Google Account. Work or school accounts are not supported for this process.
  • At least 18 years old.
  • Located in a region where Google's selfie verification service is available.
    • Currently, the complaint form isn't available in the EEA, Switzerland, or the United Kingdom.

What you can report

This process is specifically designed for reporting situations where:

  • Your likeness has been generated or altered by another user through Google's generative AI tools, specifically image creation with the Gemini App.
  • This generation or modification occurred without your explicit consent.

Such actions may violate Google's Generative AI Prohibited Use Policy.

What you can’t report

This complaint process can’t be used:

  • To make a content removal request. If you believe content is illegal and requires removal, please use Google's general content reporting tools at reportcontent.google.com.
  • To report intimate or sexual content that was distributed without your consent. Use StopNCII.org to help prevent non-consensual sharing of the intimate images across both Google and other platforms.
  • To report content generated by third-party AI models or tools that are not developed or offered by Google. For this content, find the policy of the AI platform that was used to create or modify your likeness.
  • For complaints regarding video, audio, or voice likenesses. These aren’t supported at this time.

    • Screenshot (Optional): Upload one screenshot that provides additional context regarding the abusive content. (For instance, you might include a screenshot of a group chat that provides more context on the AI-generated image)
      • Supported file types: .png,.jpeg,.pdf,.webp,.heic
      • Maximum file size: 25MB

What happens after you submit

  • Upon successful submission, you will receive a confirmation message such as "We got your complaint and are reviewing it." At this time, we cannot provide you with further updates on the status of our investigation.
  • If your complaint is substantiated, Google may take appropriate action, which could include blocking or restricting the account of the user who generated your likeness.
