How quotas work

To ensure service availability and fair usage for all users, some features in Gemini Enterprise – Business edition have daily usage limits.

Pooled quotas for teams

In Gemini Enterprise – Business edition, quotas are pooled across your entire team rather than being restricted per individual user. You can see limits expressed on a per-user basis, for example, 120 queries per day for Blended Content Gen or 2 images per day for Media Generation.

The total daily allowance for your team is calculated by multiplying the per-user limit by the number of paid seats in your subscription. Because this quota is pooled, high usage by a few team members can exhaust the entire team's quota for the day.

Choose between free trial and paid subscriptions

• Free trial: During the trial period, your account is granted an allotment equivalent to 5 seats.
• Paid subscriptions: After you move to a paid subscription, your quota allotment strictly follows your actual purchased seat count.

How to increase your capacity

You can't purchase a higher daily quota for an individual user or a specific feature. If your team's needs consistently exceed your current limits, consider the following options:

1. Add more seats: You can increase your pooled team quota by adding more paid user licenses to your subscription.
2. Upgrade to Gemini Enterprise - Standard or Plus: If you require higher baseline quotas or the ability to request custom quota increases, consider upgrading to Gemini Enterprise - Standard or Plus editions.
