You can add Google Fi device protection when you sign up for Google Fi and purchase a Designed for Fi phone. This protection offers additional coverage beyond your device’s manufacturer’s warranty.

You’re charged a monthly fee, plus tax if applicable, per device for Google Fi device protection. A service fee or deductible applies to approved claims that result in repairs or replacements. Cracked screen repairs are completed at our authorized repair partner, uBreakiFix by Asurion.

Get replacement devices

Replacement is either a new or reconditioned device of like kind and quality. Device color can vary based on availability. Your replacement device ships as early as the next business day.

Get cracked screen repairs

Important: The inner screens of foldable devices aren't eligible for cracked screen repair. If your inner screen is damaged, you can file a claim for a device replacement. The Accidental Damage from Handling replacement deductible or service fee applies.

  • Cracked screen repairs are completed at our authorized repair partner, uBreakiFix by Asurion.
  • Replacement parts used for repairs come from our authorized repair partner’s inventory.
  • Repairs are subject to availability. Refer to the device section.

How to add Google Fi device protection

To enroll in Google Fi device protection, you must purchase your phone through Google Fi. You can add device protection when you purchase a phone or within 30 days after the phone ships. Coverage begins on the device protection enrollment or device shipment date, whichever is later. You don’t have to enroll in device protection to purchase or finance a device or to sign up for Google Fi wireless service.

Get device protection for phones from Google Store or other retailers

If you purchase a phone on the Google Store, you can’t enroll in Google Fi device protection. However, you can add Preferred Care from Google Store. Learn the differences between Google Fi and Google Store.

If you purchase a phone elsewhere, you can’t enroll it in device protection from Google Fi.
