The first billing statement is a preview of the charges when you use Google Fi. It includes:
- Prorated charges for the days the service is active.
- Device protection premiums.
Billing cycle and statement
- In most cases, the billing cycle is set 2 days after service activation. So if the service starts on June 4th, the billing cycle ends on July 6th.
- Billing dates on the 1st or 28th through 31st are automatically moved to the 2nd of the month. For instance, if you start service June 26th to 30th, your first bill date is on July 2nd, and all future bills are on the 2nd of each month.
- Two days after the billing cycle ends, you receive your statement through email.
- The bill is automatically charged 10 days after the monthly statement is available.
Non-activated accounts
- If you never activate your Google Fi account or you decide to close it before activating, you won’t be billed.
- If a financed phone isn’t activated within 30 days of purchase and was financed through Google Fi, you’re charged the full price of it.
- Activating a phone means logging in to your Google Fi account from that phone.
Proration
- Proration adjusts a bill to reflect partial-month plan usage.
- To adjust bills when a member is added to a group plan, proration is used.
- To reflect the portion of the billing cycle that the new member is on the plan, the bill is prorated.
