- Your YouTube Premium ends 6 months after you start it on Google Fi.
- After 6 months, you have to pay for it monthly until you cancel.
- The person in charge of the Google Fi group can stop renewal or cancel your YouTube Premium at any time.
How to know if you can get it

You can't start YouTube Premium if:
- You are under 13 years old.
- Your Google Workspace account blocks YouTube.

How to get 6 months of YouTube Premium on Google Fi
Each person on Google Fi needs to get their own 6 months of YouTube Premium.
- On your phone, go to fi.google.com/account#plan.
- For iPhone and iPad users:
- To sign in to fi.google.com, they must use a web or mobile browser.
- To subscribe to YouTube Premium, they can use their Google Fi username and password.
- For iPhone and iPad users:
- Go to your "Member Profile.”
- In the “Devices & Subscriptions” list, tap YouTube Premium

How to manage your YouTube Premium
When your 6 months of YouTube Premium on Google Fi ends, you’ll start to pay for it each month. You can find this on your Google Fi bill.
Members of Google Fi can stop the renewal but can’t restart it. Only the person who manages the Google Fi plan can stop and renew for others.
To manage a plan:
- On your mobile device, go to fi.google.com/account#plan.
- Select a Google Fi member’s profile.
- In the “Devices & Subscriptions” list, tap YouTube Premium.
- At the end of your 6-month subscription, tap Do not renew or Renew.
Changing your renewal doesn't change your 6 months of YouTube Premium.
How to change or pause your Google Fi planYou can change your Google Fi plan once a month. The change starts on your next bill.
You lose YouTube Premium if you:
- Switch from the Unlimited Plus plan to the Simply Unlimited or Flexible plan.
- Pause your Unlimited Plus plan.
When you use the Unlimited Plus plan again, you can access YouTube Premium.
If you pause or switch your plan during the 6 months, YouTube Premium still ends on the same date.
If you already pay for YouTube Premium, it moves to Google Fi when you start the 6-month subscription.
If you pay for YouTube Premium through Apple or Google Play:
- Your YouTube Premium on Google Fi won’t change.
- To avoid paying twice, you need to cancel your other YouTube Premium subscription.
If you already have YouTube Premium:
- You keep your YouTube Premium music library and playlists.
- Your saved music and playlists are still there even if you change your subscription.
- You might not get special deals for YouTube Premium after your current plan ends. Rates and discounts that apply to YouTube Premium may not be available after your subscription ends.
- You can't get a refund for any time left on your YouTube Premium after it starts on Google Fi.
Tip: When your current subscription ends, you can stop the renewal and start YouTube Premium on Google Fi.
If a family member shares YouTube Premium with you
- You can still get your 6 months of YouTube Premium on Google Fi.
- You stay part of your Google Family, and you can still access all the shared Google services.
- Your YouTube Premium subscription will move to Google Fi.
- Your Google Family members can still use the YouTube Premium subscription.
If you manage a YouTube Premium family subscription
Before you start your YouTube Premium on Google Fi, you need to cancel your family subscription.
When you cancel your family subscription:
- All the family members who share YouTube Premium with you will lose it.
- You can keep your YouTube Premium music library and playlists.
- Your saved music library and playlists are still there even if you change your subscription.
- You might not get special deals for YouTube Premium after your current plan ends.
- You can't get a refund for any time left on your YouTube Premium subscription after it starts on Google Fi.
Tip: When your current subscription ends, cancel the renewal and start your YouTube Premium on Google Fi.
If you have Pixel Pass, YouTube Premium is already included.
When your Pixel Pass subscription ends, you can start your 6 months of YouTube Premium on Google Fi.
If you keep YouTube Premium on Google Fi after 6 months, you’ll pay $13.99 USD monthly through Google Fi. If you manage a Google Fi group plan, you also have to pay for your group's YouTube Premium. It costs $13.99 USD per user every month and you pay through Google Fi.
If you want a YouTube Premium Family plan, up to 5 people can join for $22.99 USD per month. To get a YouTube Premium Family plan, everyone needs to live in the same house and be part of the same Google Family group.
If your group is eligible for a YouTube Premium Family account, you need to:
- Stop your active YouTube Premium subscriptions on your Google Fi account or group plan before signing up for the family plan.
- Turn off auto-renew for everyone and wait until their 6 months of YouTube Premium on Google Fi is over.
In your Google Fi account or app, under the “Devices & Subscriptions” section, you can manage your YouTube Premium subscription on Google Fi’s Unlimited Plus plan.

Cancel your YouTube Premium plan
