Important: If you pause the Google Fi service during a number transfer, it can cause the port-out to fail. The number transfer information is case-sensitive. Enter the name and service address as they show up on your Google Fi account.
- Give your new carrier your port-out number and PIN.
- If your new carrier asks for your name and address, use the name on your Google Account and your Google Fi service address.
- To transfer your number, your new carrier confirms your information with Google Fi.
Tips:
- After your new carrier activates your number, your Google Fi service stops.
- Until your account officially closes, you can sign in to your account and find past Google Fi bills.
Cancel your Google Fi service
Important for iOS users:
- If you’re a group member who uses an iPhone, you can only cancel the service through the Google Fi website.
- Group owners who use an iPhone can cancel through the Google Fi app or the website.
- On your device, open the Google Fi app
or Google Fi website.
- From the “Home” tab:
- Navigate to the “Plan” tab.
- Or, under the “Plan highlights” section, select Manage plan.
- Scroll to the bottom of the “Manage plan” page.
- Tap Leave Google Fi.
- To confirm cancellation, follow the guided steps.
- Select Transfer it to another provider.
- Get your port-out number and PIN.
Tips:
- Until your number transfer completes, your Google Fi service continues.
- If unused, your port-out parameters expire after 14 days.
- To complete the number transfer, you need to regenerate them.
