Configure Elastifile SMTP Alerts

This is a procedure to enable Elastifile SMTP alerts using UI/CLI.

The article will cover the common use case and will also point to different workarounds available for the less common configs.

 

Configure SMTP using UI -

  1. Open Elastifile UI using Admin user.
  2. Go to “System Settings” in the UI -  
  3. Press on “NOTIFICATIONS” - 
  4. Configure SMTP settings - 
  5. Save - 

 

Note: Email uses plain text as shown in Verifying SMTP Functionality
