As administrator you can decide what authentication system your school should use to protect the school’s data and user accounts. To help keep your organization's data safe and secure, we recommend taking the following steps to reinforce and monitor the security of your Google for Education account:
- Set password strength and user password recovery
- Add recovery options to your administrator account
- Set up Single Sign-On (SSO) for Google Workspace accounts
Will your users be authenticating straight to Google (using the default Google login page)? Or are you looking to integrate login with other services that you have at your school? If your users have passwords stored in Google, then you will need to either sync passwords from an existing school system or create new passwords for users in Google Workspace.
