You can report behavior that you consider to be a violation of Google's Terms of Service or program policies. Learn about abuse program policies and enforcement.
Report abuse
You can report abusive content from your computer.
Google Docs or SlidesTo report a violation:
- On your computer, open a file.
- At the top, click Help
Docs Help or Slides Help.
- Scroll to the bottom.
- Select Send feedback.
- Add a description.
- Click Next.
- Optional: To add a screenshot, follow the on-screen instructions.
- Click Send.
Tip: You can also send feedback if you click Help Docs improve or Help Slides improve.
To report a violation:
- On your computer, open a file.
- At the top, click Help
Sheets Help.
- Scroll to the bottom.
- Select Send feedback
Report an issue.
- In the “Choose an option” drop down, select an action you tried to perform.
- Add a description.
- Click Next.
- Optional: To add a screenshot, follow the on-screen instructions.
- Click Send.
Tip: You can also send feedback if you click Help Sheets improve.
If you’re an editor, to report a violation in a form:
- At the bottom left, click Help
Help Forms improve.
- Select Report an issue.
- In the “Choose an option” drop down, select an action you tried to perform.
- Add a description.
- Optional: To add a screenshot, follow the on-screen instructions.
- Click Next
Send.
If you’re a responder, to report a violation in a form:
- At the bottom left, click Help
Report
.
- Choose the type of abuse found in the form.
- Click Submit Abuse Report.
Tip: You can also send feedback if you click Help Forms improve.
To report a violation:
- On your computer, open a file.
- At the top, click Help

- Select the type of abuse you want to report.
- Click Submit report.
You can report PDFs, images, or other content stored in Google Drive.
To report a violation:
- On your computer, go to drive.google.com.
- At the top right, click Help
Help.
- Scroll to the bottom.
- Select Send feedback.
- Click Report an issue.
Tip: You can also report a violation from a sharing or comment notification in an Android or iOS device.
- To report, expand the sharing or comment notification and tap Report and block.
Reports don’t guarantee removal of the file or any other action on Google’s part. Content that you disagree with or deem inappropriate is not always a violation of Google’s Terms of Service or program policies.
Actions we may take on abusive material
- Remove the file from the account.
- Restrict sharing of a file.
- Limit who can view the file.
- Disable access to one or more Google products.
- Delete the Google Account.
- Report illegal materials to appropriate law enforcement authorities.
Appeal a violation
If a file you own has a violation notice, you can request a review of the violation.
