There is a huge blank spot in my essay and I'm not sure if its bc of the footnotes or what. I try to backspace, but it doesn't work.

Hi there,

Thanks for your inquiry.

First, go to View > Show non-printing characters and click on Show non-printing characters so you can see them.

Next, look for any page breaks or section breaks that you can delete. Also check for excessive paragraph returns.

If that doesn't resolve it, go to the page that follows the blank area and drag your cursor through the first few lines on that page to select them. Now go to Format > Line & paragraph spacing and see if Keep lines together, Keep with next, or Prevent single lines are checked. If they are, UN-check them. Is the empty space gone now?

Kind regards,
Jo
