Right-to-left controls turn on automatically when you open a document, spreadsheet or presentation with right-to-left text, or when you add text in a right-to-left language. You can also turn on right-to-left controls manually.

Before you can write, view and edit text in right-to-left, you need to turn it on on your computer.
Use right-to-left language controls
After you turn on right-to-left controls, you can change the layout for documents with text in a right-to-left language. If there's no right-to-left language text in the document, you can't see these controls.
