You can use audio generation with Gemini to:
- Listen to audio versions of your document tabs.
- Add audio buttons to documents.
Use Gemini to listen to your documents
- On your computer, open a document in Google Docs.
- Your document should have content before you can generate audio.
- To generate audio, you can:
- At the top, click Tools

- To insert an audio button or add an audio chip:

- Click the inserted button.
- At the top, click Insert
- Add an audio chip in your selected section:
- Select the section you want to add an audio chip.
- Enter @.
- Select Listen to tab.
- Click the inserted button.
- Insert an audio button:
- You can change the speed and the voice of the audio with the audio player.
- To change the speed, click Playback speed
Choose the speed.
- To change the voice, click More

- You can preview and select a voice:
- Narrator
- Educator
- Teacher
- Persuader
- Explainer
- Coach
- Motivator
- Click Select.

- To change the speed, click Playback speed
Tips:
- You can pause, resume, and check how long it takes to read the entire doc.
- You can move the audio player around the screen.
- You can edit the labels of the audio button.
- You can edit the size and color of the button.
