Generate questions with Gemini in Google Forms (Workspace Experiments)

Important: This article is referring to Google Workspace Experiments, which is an invite only program for users to try new AI features. The Workspace Experiments program may not be available in your country. To check if you have access to Workspace Experiments program features, open a new form on Google Forms and look for “Help me create a form” at the top.

This feature is currently available on desktop and in English. Learn how to change your language on the web.

You can use Gemini to quickly add relevant new questions to your form based on your current content.

Add questions to your form

Important: You can use forms and quizzes in English only with a single section.

  1. On your computer, open a form on Google Forms.
  2. Click Suggest questions.
    • To generate questions with Gemini, you need at least 2 questions in the form.
  3. Select the generated questions you’d like to include.
    • Optional: To generate questions again, click Retry.
  4. When the suggested questions look good to you, click Insert suggestions.

Give feedback on suggested questions

Google Workspace with Gemini is constantly learning and may not be able to support your request.

If you get a suggestion that’s inaccurate or that you feel is unsafe, you can let us know by submitting feedback. Your feedback can help improve AI-assisted Workspace features and broader Google efforts in AI.

Because feedback may be human readable, do not submit data that contains personal, confidential, or sensitive information.

  1. Below the generated text, click Good suggestion or Bad suggestion .
  2. If you click Bad suggestion , you can select the issue you found and provide additional feedback.
  3. Click Submit.

To provide general feedback on this feature, at the bottom, click Help & feedback and then Help forms improve .

When you generate a question in Forms, Google uses and stores the following data:

  • The generated question
  • Form content that is referenced to generate questions
  • Your feedback on the generated question
